Cryptotaenia canadensis (L.) DC. 1830. –Lit.: Thellung (1926; ill.). – Perennial hemicryptophyte. Leaves ternate, with sessile, almost rhombic, serrate to doubly serrate leaflets. Umbels without bracts. Umbellules c. 3, with few, reduced bractlets. Flowers 1–6 in each umbellule, with rather long pedicels, and white or red-tinged petals. Fruit elliptic in outline, 5–6 mm, with reduced ridges; stylopodia conical; styles directed upwards.
