Lagoecia L.

Linnaeus, Sp. pl.: 203 (1753).
Lagoecia cuminoides L. 1753. harekarve. S klotkummin. – Annual, to 30 cm. Leaves oblanceolate, once pinnate, with several pairs of rounded, deeply serrate leaflets, larger towards the apex of the leaf. Umbels globose, dense, c. 1 cm wide, with coarsely, somewhat irregularly serrate bracts reaching the edge of the umbel; umbellules 1-flowered, pedunculate, with a 3-lobed bractlet (each lobe having incised margins with setulose teeth). Flowers pedicellate, with deeply incised, setulose, c. 3 mm long sepals surrounding the reduced petals and the stamens. Fruit c. 1.5 mm long, dark brown, covered with glandular hairs.
